Sales Without the Ick: How I Put Myself Out There and Shared What I Had

Last week, I hosted a little gathering called Sales Without the Ick.

Real estate agent Audrey Bailey shares insights at the front of a classroom.

My mission has always been to elevate others - and this time, it was all about women in business. Giving them permission to show up fully as themselves.

Because when we do that—when we drop the pressure, the performance, and the “shoulds”—sales stop feeling icky, cringy, or pushy.

Instead, it starts to flow. It feels like connection. Like alignment. Like truth.

I’ve learned this through lived experience over the past few years. And if there’s one thing I believe in deeply, it’s this: when I share what I’ve learned, it helps others rise too.

I’ve never resonated with cold scripts or elevator pitches. I’ve always wanted to sell from a place of service and sincerity.

And I’ve learned that when you truly believe in what you’re offering - and you know it can help someone - sales can actually feel… really good.

It took something for me to put myself out there. I didn’t have all the answers. There was no perfectly polished presentation.

But I had my story. I had real, heart-centered lessons from building a business in my own way.

And I had this deep desire to show others what’s possible when we stop trying to sell - and start simply sharing.

When we stop trying to convince - and instead, connect.

People showed up. They took notes. They nodded. They shared. They saw themselves in my words. And in that moment, I knew: this wasn’t just a one-time thing.

This is becoming something more.
I’m being called to turn this into a full workshop—to share this message with more people.

Because we’re all carrying the same questions:
— How do I balance it all?
— How do I grow a business I love while being the mom I want to be?
— How do I honour myself and still sell with integrity?

Sales Without the Ick: The Workshop is coming soon.

This is for the woman who’s building something meaningful - and wants to sell in a way that feels like her.

No scripts. No shame. Just tools, mindset shifts, and messaging that actually work - and that leave your integrity intact.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A fresh perspective on what sales can look like

  • Confidence in how to talk about your offer

  • Tangible ways to connect with your people and invite them in

  • A renewed sense of self-trust in your business

If this speaks to you, I’d love to know.

Email me, or just stay close - details are coming soon, and I’d be honoured to have you.

With love,
Audrey
